Akaroa is ideal for a romantic getaway weekend. If Queenstown is the Adventure Capital of New Zealand then Akaroa must surely rate as the romance capital. This French village has superb accommodation, the award wining Harbour 71 restaurant and a great range of things to do - sailing, fishing, swimmng with the dolphins, and a boutique movie theatre.
